Canon University Inkjet Project

  • The University Inkjet Program, launched in 2019, offers students practical experience and insight into modern print industry trends and practices. Through collaborative activities, students can see first-hand how the business of production printing operates to gain a better understanding of inkjet technology, production print service providers, and how the industry continues to evolve. The list of higher education institutions that are part of the program includes Arizona State University (ASU), Clemson University, and Rochester Institute of Technology.

  • January 2022 - May 2022

My project partner, Hannah Starrett, and I were tasked with creating a fake university to brand with promotional marketing tools directed towards the print and direct mail industries.
The required applications included poster design, an 8 page booklet, 2 postcard (one for academics and one for sports) with personalization and embellishment, and an envelope design with included letter.

I was in charge of cohesive branding and color choices, as well as designing the duck mascot and university logo. I completed the poster, both post cards, and the letter, while Hannah completed the 8 page booklet and the envelope design. This was all completed with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, and Lightroom Classic.

  • Links to the final work can be found here! These designed, especially the use of color, won us second place in this competition against the rest of the class, and similar classes across other universities.

Note: All designed with red sections are marked as such to be printed with metallic design and are intended to be white/silver.
